bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i dream of dan clowes i don't know if it was all the drugs i've been taking to combat this friggincold, or the amount of hours i've been working to get two shows up simultaneously, or what, but god bless dan clowes. i love him. him and adrian tomine. i fell asleep the other night after reading ghost world, and y'know those weirdly lucid moments you have right before your mind hits all-out sleep disclosure? (i don't know what that means...) but anyway, i was actually witnessing my world becoming clowes-ified. my hands, my feet, the sidewalk i was standing on (in my dream)...the trees around me...they were all becoming 'drawn' as if i was in the comic book....not like i was becoming the charater of enid, or anything, but also not as exaggerated as that 'take on me' video by a-ha....speaking of which...where is that guy....he was friggin' hot as all get-out but i digress... no i don't...where is he? i want his hiney on a platter and handed on over to me... um..so yeah. Country Wife opened...if anyone reads this, and you live in D.C. and you wanna see it, gimmie a call..i can get you a deal on tickets. As you like it opens tonight. can't wait for that paycheck. why? you ask? well! little kiddles, i am going AMP-SHOPPIN'. yup. finally.... i've got the bass...got a gig bag last night.. shoulda bought a hard case, but it was just too big...living in a studio apartment...i mean, when i don't even have an honest to god couch for crissakes.....although i guess coould have propped it up on two stacks of books, and used it as a coffee table...so i went with a heavy-duty gigbag. it'll keep my kitty sadie off of it at least.....
