bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- here are some words, will you take them away words i like: Troglodyte. clutch. ringing. requiem. ache. fever. quasi. weave. jargon. nuisance stuff i like: phone calls with my friends. especially ones that will swing through town to see me around my birthday which is in 2.5 weeks (may 21st) iced tea. bread. i love bread. toast too. also, i love this weekend, cause there's some street festival thing the first sunday in may, and these people come up from some restaurant in north carolina and make *the* best ribs ever. i have been dreaming about these damn ribs for two years now. yum yum. stuff that's not so good- i am evidently the only person in the world who can't grow mint. isn't it a weed? sadie knocked my little mint-ling off the window and i didn't see it (fell behind a chair) for two days and it's all withered and sad looking. feh. also not so good, sling back sneakers. don't understand 'em, don't like 'em.... if you're picky about your sneakers (like me) and have a goodly wad of cash to throw at them (unlike me) i encourage you to drool at this idea what's the bestest: new friends. yay. weirdest moment of the day:the guy in line behind me at the post office commenting on my handwriting. evidently, 'it's cool!' *thumbs up*. well, good to know. i'll make up business cards. beth b. purveyor of 'cool handwriting'- says weird guy in post office. my little brother todd graduates from college this weekend. i feel bad, but i'm not going to go down to see him. all i want to do is hang out in my apartment this weekend and sew and maybe work on some paintings. i'm really into these postcards with waterskiers on them from the 1950's and '60s and i want to do a series of small paintings of them. prints would be better, but i don't have lithographic access anymore. oh, le sigh.
