bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- oatmeal elitist I am hungry. I think this is directly proportionate to the fact that i did not eat breakfast this morning. fie. fie on all the people who ate breakfast this morning. actually, this is a good segue...here is my horoscope for today: GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Find different ways of self-expression. Humor is your ally; laugh at your own foibles. Popularity is such that people want to wine and dine you. Do you think if i wander into the grocery store and show them that they'll understand and hand over some chewey granola bars? Man, i could eat the shit out of them chewy raisin granola bars. but not the sunny-whatever brand. i'm talking quaker-oats chewey granola bars only. so what if i am a granola bar-brand elitist. you know what, i just realized 'eat the shit out of...' sounds better when it comes out of ryan's mouth. I got the har mar superstar CD at Now! this weekend when i went to see the lucksmiths play there. i don't so much care for it. sorry mr. har mar. i might end up selling it this weekend sos i can bank roll my trip to Missouri. I have completely fucked up my finances because i am a tard and did shit like, ohhhh...buy 30 dollars worth of comic books last week before i solidified my trip. retarded? absolutely. But Murder Me Dead is soooo worth it. also, i have a bunch of stuff like GBV's Mag Earwig that i don't remember the last time i listened to it, so.....sorry senor pollard. i do love ye, but you're outta here. also, did you know i own the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion's 'Orange' on three different mediums? Well, i guess actually two. Black vinyl, silver vinyl, and compact disc. i think the silver vinyl is worth 40 bucks, but i can't part with it yet. also, the smithsonian folk life festival starts today. It looks cool, but i don't think anything could compare to last year. (the folk life fest. features a country, an american state and sometimes a city)This year they're featuring Poland, New York and instead of a small sity, they're focusing on the building arts. There's stuff like stone carving and building and preserving with adobe. rad rad rad. I don't think anything could beat last year 'tho. Tibet, D.C. (fugazi and rare essence played)(not together) and el rio or something. i didn't investigate that. but it had horses and cowboys and rope. Infact, one of the high points of my summer last year was spending all day on the mall with a friend and seeing fugazi play. and eating ethiopian food and... dang it. i really am hungry. i'm gonna go eats me someone's apple. they're all on vacation anyway. *shhhhhhh* don't tell, 'kay? 9:57 a.m. - 2001-06-27 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
