don't bedazzel yourself, or i'll make fun of you

I've got to go strike a show in about half an hour. I don't know why this couldn't have waited until the afternoon. i mean, sheesh. isn't 9 am on a sunday a bit fierce?

I was up late last night helping ryan nelson and laura teeler screen shirts for ft. reno. Toward the end, we got punchy and double screened some. the burgundy looks fucking cool with the black ink first and the white ink over that but slightly off so it makes a shadow effect.

We only made about 7 of them, so if you get one, congratulations.

friday was rock'n'frock with miss jessica. burning airlines were so good- with the addition of the 2nd guitarist, ben. it was so disgustingly hot in the black cat, 'tho. jessica and i avoided the pines of nowhere set, and bailed on most of the rival school. god bless j robbins for giving bands like rival school a chance to play, but i almost never see a band i like open for them. with the exception of the new years day show and the up on in played. it was exciting to have all 4 jawboxers in the same room. bill was still with BA then, and kim and zack were on the side of the stage. i have to admit i tried to get them to reunite just for one some (cut off would have been good)with mental telepathy, but no dice.

incidentally, i really really really like the expression 'no dice'. use it. use it freely....thanks

also, unbeknownst to us, it was evidently 'make your own shirt night' at the black cat. there was this one group of girls that jessica's friend becky brilliantly dubbed 'valley of the go-go's' who were all um, very...bedazzel-y and flash dance... it was a bit much

I am so bug bitten right now. feh.

also, i have laundry au go-go to do for my trip to missouri. you see.....ok...hm.

There are these girls in missouri who read this (actually, missouri girls, why don't you stop reading here)and one contacted me probably almost a year ago? and since then, three others have, and they're all friends, and we email and stuff, and they've sent me things, and i've been horribly bad about sending stuff back, but i'll just bring presents on tuesday) anyhow, miss erin is having a big block party for the 4th of july and there will be vegan BBQ and music and cute cute cute australian pop-boys (the lucksmiths) and then afterwards there will be david wilson's ranch. But i am so terribly horribly nervous. what if they don't like me? what if i don't like them? and what i'm really the most worried about is that i've seen pictures of jj and miss erin and they are beee*youuuu*teee*ful. erin actually looks a little like my friend tina r who is one of the coolest girls in the universe. anyway, i'm afraid i'm going to look like uncle fester next to these girls. for real. ok, well with hair. maybe if uncle fester and cousin it had a baby.

beck raised a good point in that 'we could have just as easily met in a sanrio store'. i guess that's true. ahhhh...internet. bringing shy people together since the late 1980's...

gaaah. these bugs. i should grab my bug repellant.
