bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- semi-kansas city update bethb diaryland update on location from the sleeping porch at the home of the rad rad rad girl jj beal. So, i am in kansas city mo, and i am in love. did you know people here are friendly? they are! i'd forgotten about that. sometimes, i'd prefer to be left alone, but i know there's something wrong when i'm suspicious of people just asking me 'how's it going'. seriously, i love kansas city missouri.for real and true. the people are nice, and with the glaring, flaming exception (well, actually, i can't say they're *not* nice, just...um....very very worrysome) of the group of people featured on the cover of the weekly picket or picker or something. the city's alternative print rag, who call themselves 'plushies' or 'furries' or something. i mean, i know it takes all kinds people, but come the fuck on!!!! people dressing up as animals and gettin' it on with other people dressing as animals? the people here are nice and tight with each other. there's also a lot of loft space. a . lot. of. loft. space. and galleries. the block party was great. utlra cute lucksmiths, ultra ultra ultra cute barb and erin. and houses. beck and ryans house- jawdropping. jj and mac's house- makes me covetous. and barb and erin's house is super cute....with the exception of the jackass neighbors throwing firecrackers. yeah, i um.....i yelled at some big ball of jerk wax who was totally 40 years old and bleached his hair and dyed it green and was throwing firecrakers and one hit me on the foot and went off and totally killed my right ear. it still kinda hurts and i'm a bit freaked by that.
