bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i'm proabbly gonna hear about this one... i have a long (well, not really) (3-ish hours) up to Pa today. and with the cd player still jammed, it's back to 1993 for me, and i grabbed some cassette tapes before i left for work . i am actually kinda excited to spend some quality time with the blake babies again. and lois maffeo....i'm wondering if i should ask brendan if he would introduce me when they play here in november, but that might be weird. i am usually not that *whoooeeeeewhoooo!* about celebs, but lois is different. something in my little pea brain just clicked and fell into place when i first heard lois, and it just made sense. that a girl with a guitar and a friend with a floor tom and a 4-track could make music that is so powerful and just right and so personal it almost hurt to listen to it. were you reading her diary, or was she reading yours? i still don't know. it's interesting that i'm confronting these questions within myself, because just yesterday, i recieved an email from someone (i'm pretty sure it was a girl) who i'm guessing did a google (or whatever search engine) search and somehow found my diary entry about this girl that went to Ohio U. at the same time i did (although she was undergrad performance, and i was a grad design major) and was asking questions about her, and it was just weird. esp. because this girl's email address was three actors last names (including the one she was asking about) put together at whatever.com and that's almost all i'm going to say about that, because she could be reading this, and i'd be really sad if she boiled my kitty. it's still weird for me to see the kids i went to school with or have worked with getting famous. i mean, it's great, don't get me wrong, but often it's just....them....or some character i've already seen them play up on the screen/onthe tv, whatever. i see people i know on law and order all the time, and it usually pulls me out of the story and it's crappy, because i loves me my law and order. but now the good news! mike watt next tuesday! the rapture next friday! the rapture was kind of a surprise. but YEAH! the rapture are back! burning airlines and (urgh) shiner the 26th! then there's a rock tastic weekend...nov. 1- death cab for cutie, the 2nd, lois and brendan, the 3rd, hey mercedes the 6th- boy racer. and that's just at the black cat. hey jj! poundsign is comming! do you want me to flier? xoxo beth b. 10:01 a.m. - 2001-10-12 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
