bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- apartment for rent we evidently had a power outage on the hill last night. i know this for two reasons- i woke in the middle of the night to complete darkness. only a few street lamps lit. no clock, no stereo lights blinking at me. i had no idea what time it was, it was really disorienting. and 2. my cat eating my hair this morning to wake me up. the clock blinking, lights on, cat on my head. turned on the tv to get the time, and it was 7:21 i think this is the first power outtage i've had at my apartment. 2 summers ago, it was so hot they were doing brown outs all over the city, and i was worried i would get one, but i didn't. numerous capitol hill neighbors were complaining of losing power but not my little building. it's a trooper. incidentally, the poilish harpsicord playing girls have moved out and the apartment next to me is rentable again....for 985/mo. have we discussed this yet? about how that's 400 more dollars a month than i pay now. sick. sick. sick. i say recession? bring it. 10:27 a.m. - 2001-12-18 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
