bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- yeah! panda! ok, i'm feeling better...sort of. i did almost lose it at a fellow working at pla-za artist materials becausse i needed stuff to make stencils and the guy steered me toward vinyl letter stickers. he had no idea what i was talking about, and pla-za isn't some ...well...it's not innervision, let's just say that. innervision is the type of place that if you had the choice between severing your arm with a shoelace or buying art supplies, you'd most likely sever your own arm and then use the blood to paint with. seriously. they've got about 4 tubes of paint, some dried out markers, posterboard and other paper that back in 1982 was probably white. they don't know what anything is/where anything is/how anything (including their register) works; but damn if they wn't try to sell you business cards. back to today, i was about 2 minutes to asking the guy "this is an art supply store, right? i mean....stencils....i'm not using some arcane terminology.....i...jut...need...to...make ...stencils..." but i didn't. i bought my gesso and some other stuff and i left. i did, however, find the RIGHT coffee table for stupid andy asshole jackness. who actually LIKED the damn table so i bought that thing in a motherfucking minute. and then the thrift score gods were smiling at me and i found a rolling metal tv cart and appropriate TV. so that's three major things offa my prop list. and chester isn't here and it's only 5:20 so i'm gonna go to my panda a little early today.
