bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- F9/11 you might think it's easier to add entries from the privacy of your own house. it's not, really. it's not anything. i guess sometimes it was fun blowing through one at work. i'm on vacation this week. probably most of next week as well. i am going to try to get away. a short little jaunt to harper's ferry W. virginia. i hear it's pretty. and what, there's water i guess. i saw farenheit 9/11 yesterday. i first want to say that i love michael moore. i would actually probably walk on hot coals for that man, but i went in to see F9/11 thinking it would have that MM slant. it really didn't. i mean, certainly, there was an opinion and footage to back up that opine, but now i need to figure out how to get my dad into a movie theatre to see that thing. even if he only stays for the first 25 minutes to see how connected the bush and bin laden familes are, it will be worth it. i think the most shocking thing about F9/11 was just how much i didn't know. the saudi's have 860 billion dollars invested in america? and i actually got in a fight with my super conservative brother about the treatment of the bin laden family after the attacks. i was actually ok with getting them out of the country, because quite frankly, it would have been another massacre. and that's what i told todd. but i never thought about the fact that they were just whisked away without any type of questioning. i doubt any of them would have been able to tell anone where osama was without some kind of GPS navigator, but really.....maybe some questions should have been asked. it's a really amazing piece of filmmaking. more required viewing i think. 8:55 a.m. - 2004-07-08 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
