bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- dumb kitties chris found the tiniest kitten today near the blackberry patch next to the anacostia river. it's white and small and dirty and barely weaned. it drank water by dunking it's face into the dish we placed on the ground and licking his chin. it ate some fancy feast mushed with water by half standing in the gladware sandwich container. it's either going to be the prop shop kitty or one of the stage managers is going to take it home when she moves into her new apartment. it likes to sit on your shoulder for the ride as you walk. it has a ferociously loud and plaintif yowl. it's going to the vet tomorrow to be checked out. i'm kind of in love with it, but i have sadie. and don't you kind of love everything when it's small and new? and then you find out it doesn't put it's dishes in the sink, or take the trash out. or wear deoderant regularly. or wash it's socks. or truly mispronounces the word "library". or continually writes "your" for "you're" and there or their for they're. yeah. dumb kitties. tonight is going to be so much rock and roll, i won't be able to stand it. and i won't have to for very much longer. 5:36 p.m. - 2004-07-22 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
