bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- R. Nelly i just sent my roommate off to american idol auditions. i had just been there myself (not auditioning, but taking in the beauty that is the american idol contestant.) we (and by 'we' i mean miss colleen and i) saw a mini (SUPER MINI) lenny kravitz, whom, i'm willing to bet could not reach the top cereal shelf of the grocery store anyway, a not-so-mini jill scott. MANY MANY random dancers. and at least one kerchief-over-curlers in a juicy couture track suit girl. it. was. awesome. aside from this horrid sinus attack, it was a pretty good evening. picked up the first season of laverne and shirley on DVD (the sight of which in the sunday paper made me yell "FINALLY" out loud), 5 guys for burgers, ate them as we watched planes take off and land at national and then the american idol ordeal. i just got home and ryan walks into the living room wearing a skinny 1960's tie, flat-front trousers and a white button down shirt. i told him he needed a coffee mug so i grabbed one of the white milk-glass fire king ones out of the cabinet, to keep with the 60's theme. took two pics of him in the kitchen pretending to pour coffee. he's on his way to audition right now. he's going to sing an R.Kelly song, because he's (and i have to quote him here) "R.Nelly". I hope the other dischord kids don't bail. i would have gone back but i am beat and hurty from the sinus thing. and letterman is on. oh, and ryan is far too old to audition for american idol. well, not far, but brother is 30 and i think the cut-off age is 26 or something. 11:29 p.m. - 2004-08-17 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
