bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- new gigs i seem to be some kind of switchboard for dc. today i received a phone call looking for bands to play at this um....fugazi retrospective at this sorta...older crowd (and i'm talking parental older crowd...like my 60 yo parents old) place called strathmore hall. i should check with ian to see if this whole hoopla is legit. it seems kinda hinky to me. and god knows you don't wanna get ian angry at you. i should prolly ask brendan. and then an email from a girl who lived in my building when i used (is it "use to" or "used to" neither seems right) to live on capitol hill. she's volunteering at concerts for change or something. so....yeah. i'm fixing up people all over this city. wish i could do it for me. that said...had two + lovely hours of conversation with the E on tuesday night. didn't know he was going to be there. might invite him on the trip to bawlmer next week avec sean. sean's last day is monday. i've known for a month if not more. but it's still not settling in. it's going to be weird and hard if E gets sean's job. i'm madly applying for jobs elsewhere. today i applied for an interior design gig. heh. yep. 8:53 p.m. - 2004-09-09 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
