good things come to those who wait

so when we last left, i was telling the univers i'm not taking any more guff.
and so far, it's been ok.
and by "ok" i mean i didn't pay a damn cent for my car (awesome). was i a little bitchy?
um....yes.
did i have every right to be?
hells yes.
were they appologetic?
very much so.
some kids set the recycling dumpster on fire yesterday when it was just le mari at the shop.
i was really really upset but he's ok. i think he was a little shaken up too. the dumpster is quite literally toast.
sometimes i hate kids.
i may have reached an all new low in beth b cuisine.... when i got home from work yesterday (10:30 pm) my dinner consisted of two pieces of buttered toast and a cosmopolitan that i made out of some old cosmo mix i had lying around.
oh, and one piece of microwavable bacon.
then i fell asleep reading 'assassination vacation'.
which isn't to say it's dull, not at all. it's quite good. although makes me wonder why i haven't run into sarah vowell in dc. ever. i probably will drag a willing friend (colleen) to see the plaques and museums (and lincoln's skull fragments) with me some appointed day this summer when i'm on my vacation time.
but right now i have to get to work and deal with torched dumpsters and actresses who can't work their way around a tea pot.

two: nickelodeon has FINALLY released the first season of Pete and Pete on DVD. good things come to those who wait.....and wait.....annnnnnddd..........waaaaaaaaaaait.......
