actors are dumb

i'm going to go to work in a new skirt today because it's too hot to wear pants.

yesterday was the last day for applications for the clarice smith performing arts center job.
i am so nervous and so excited. it might be the mental trick to get through tech for othello this week.
avery isn't bad. although he likes to walk on everything. and throw stuff to the ground.
i'm pretty sure i had an entry back in the day from when we did oedipus in 2001 and he would throw his (hand carved thankyouverymuch) stick to the ground and be surprised when it broke.
this is what i don't get about actors-
have they no common sense? no real life experiences? is everything fake to them?
i think it must. because they are constantly surprised by the weight of actual stacks of large books. the fact their heels are snagging the silk upholstery, attempting to close anything like a screw-top flask, open letters/envelopes, the breakability of a wine bottle as it's tossed around the stage.
i seriously don't get it or them.
please UMD- PLEEEEEase grant me an interview so you can see how very very stoked i'd be to work there and will even learn spanish for you.....

my little brother scott is in seattle this week. i asked him about the squished penny for me. hopefully it'll work out.
