i haven't done one of these for a few weeks, so here we go

friday (err saturday?) five

1. What is your favorite specialty restaurant (Italian, Mexican, Thai, etc.)? afghanian

2. What do you order to eat there? khadu burani

3. What is your favorite specialty food or dish to cook? curried butternut squash soup

4. If you could travel to the home country of your favorite specialty food, what would you do there?
um.....

5. What is your worst experience with a specialty food restaurant? i'm guessing "specialty" = ethnic to whomever wrote these questions, so when i was in paris, everything closes on sunday.
e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. i ended up in the latin quarter where a lot of the indian restraunts were open. they seemed weirded out by the fact it was just me and it took almost 15 minutes for someone to bring me water (this was not a fancy place) so i got up and left and wandered around. found some bread and some wine and went back to my hotel.
