i wish i was making this up.

just for your edification-
saws cut stuff.
sanders smooth stuff down by burnishing an item with paper that has been treated with a sandy consistency that is "graded" so the lower the number, the rougher the grit. the higher the number, the smoother the grit. the highest being 'howie mandel's shiny smooth pate'.

i'm not kidding. go to a hardware store and ask.

i'm just doing this because i worked with some who didn't, you know, know the difference.
