chase utley is my new darren daulton

the free tickets i got to the ball game last night were SUCH good seats.
i have never sat that close ever. we were *maybe* 50-60 yards from first base.
we were in constant worry of being conked in the head by foul balls.
we were also kind of behind the phillies dugout so we were near other phillies fans which was good and some guy in a steve carleton throwback jersey that was really actually cool. but no darren daulton.
my dad called in the middle of the game and i said "are you watching tv?"
yes
"are you watching the phillies game"
yep
"did you see me?"
my dad didn't see me, but he was watching the game, and my mom in the background yells "who is she rooting for?"
they are cute.
seriously...those seats were so good....i don't think i'm ever sitting in the nosebleeds again.
um, ok. maybe i'll have to. i just looked up the price of the tickets which were considered "field MVP" and $50.
man, i owe neal (who gave me the tickets) some brownies...
tonight the mountain goats are at the black cat. (the new record is great- franklin bruno is all over that thing and franklin bruno is a genius) but i'm beat. and tomorrow i'm going to see neil gaiman speak/sign books/watch nerds throw their knickers at him.
