how was your day?

here are some moments from my day:
*both pho places i tried to get take out today were cash-only. i looked at my calendar. it is indeed 2007.
*i had a nice indian man with not-nice breath try to dress me in a sari. i had to pull an-i-don't-have-time attitude and mumbled something about only needing it for display purposes. he still gave me a calendar. on march first. but still the year 2007. perhaps i should have showed it to pho 75 &301 when they both said they don't accept credit cards.
*i found a great set of 1960's shelves (some water damage) curbside this morning. garbage or eviction, i'm not sure. i thought garbage, but i just realized now that our garbage day is wednesday so...um...whoops. well, hey, maybe it's leftover from yesterday. because what was in the cabinet portion of the shelves was not new. and hadn't been new, i'd say, for about 17 years.
nothing in the pile really looked recent. and there weren't any mattresses which also made me think "not eviction".
*i spent a big portion of today looking for toy limousines. and calling toy stores looking for toy limos. and talking to toy store clerks who apparently didn't know what "limousine" means.
*high velocity low pressure sprayers are f-ing loud.
*the plan are getting back together for one night. it's not involving the thing i wanted to put together with the '2nd chance fest' which is now looking like it won't happen. but i'm still happy to see another plan show.
*sometimes i love this city. sometimes i hate this city. today was mostly in the latter.
*i laminated more petals for a necklace. i am going to try to assemble a necklace tonight.
