oh my feet.
i was out my door at 9:15am to get to the s-l-o-w-e-s-t dunkin donuts ever to get two big boxes of coffee and was at the mellon aud. a little before 10 and i have not stopped moving for the last 13 hours.
infact, this morning seems like three days ago.
this yearthe event was actually fun. i mean, there was some ridiculousness...such as once upon a time (about 4 years ago) a little tv show called "the west wing" filmed there (they actually filmed quite a bit there) and totally f-ed up some parquet floor that i can only assume was laid down by andrew mellon himself. possibly with the help of jesus. because it was something like 2 million clams to replace. so, natch they're hesitant about anyone walking/rolling/sneezing/looking at the new floor.
when i tell you there was a moment at load-out where i had 2 four-foot pieces of carpeting and i would roll my dolly over one, pick up the other piece, then put it down infront of the dolly, pick up the free piece, put it back down in front of the dolly, i am not lying.
chester said "oh, i can't watch this. this is too sad".
i think if we could, the mellon people would ask us to hover. actually, i would probably do that if i could, because being on my feet for 13 hours stinks.
carol p. who is some kind of event-planning wizzard, and apparently friend of chris m. introduced us. she thought it was funny that with all the actors there, i wanted to have my photo taken with chris m. but that's the way i roll.
and i came home with half an armload of orange and yellow gerbera dasies and some orchids. so....
oh, also? the overtime this week is going to be sweet and carol p. might call me to free lance. which would be awesome.
