boring details of a crammed weekend

wow, i've done a lot of driving in the past week.
i went up to PA to see the parents this weekend. I was going to start out friday but it was pushed back to yesterday. i crammed in a lot of people in a day and a half.
when i arrived at my parents, they were both out so i went to doylestown and went to siren records where i found i had a credit waiting for me which was a nice surprise and then the good (new) bookstore and picked up the new craft magazine which i just realized i left at mom&dad's.
crap.
then i helped my mom photograph some bags she made and set up an etsy shop for her (sometimes -er, most times- her stuff is a little folksy for me, but she does occassionally make something i really like.)
we put up 4 bags and immediately two people hearted her. then i had to explain the whole thing with favorites and hearts. i don't know if she completely understands it, but she'll learn.
then scott came over and i looked at his photos from his trip to venice/cruise to greece with Paula. as a testement to how small the world is, on the cruise there were a number of people who use to teach with my dad. which isn't really a surprise. everyone knows my dad. my mom calls him "the mayor". when i was little, i called him "fonzie" because he did look like henry winkler. and they're both short.
but i didn't know that until HW was in town for a show at the KC and i saw him in the lobby.
then we had an incredibly long dinner outside of new hope.
my mom is so excited about my new job that she bought me clothes which was a very nice effort and intention, but out tastes are really different. she picked out this one long button down...i don't even know what it was, like a shirt dress maybe, but it was brown and tweedy looking and i told her it made me feel and look like a sheppard.
she did pick out two cool jackets tho. and apparently "everything was 75% off at Boscovs! and I opened an account so i got another 10% it was pracically free!".
today i had breakfast with grandma who, bless her heart....is confused. it's sad because her best friend mary logan just died and another guy she knows just died. i mean, i know she's 92 so this is bound to happen...i think she's understanding less and less.
although as scott and i were walking her back to her room, scott was behind her and she ripped one and i couldn't look at him without laughing. which is mean. but still funny.
and then i had a long lunch with cristen and got to see her mom and cristen said she was in new hope yesterday with her mom and grandmom and she saw bam margera. i told her she was lucky. and we laughed about the jackass thing which i am still so convinced is her father. i need to find that episode on youtube and send it to her.
