4 days left.
well, kinda three. chester and i have planned one last mother/daughter trip up to hagerstown. and maybe frederick for wednesday to find some stuff. and then thursday he wants everyone to go out to an early dinner for me at the carlyle which is really good but fancy. and in northern virginia. i'm pushing maybe for the brick skeller. actually, i was pushing for saint ex but i think that isn't going to happen. i don't really know where to go.
suggestions are welcome.

maybe i should just say fuck it and go to the carlyle.

eric has organized a happy hour thing at trusty's on friday. i'm really going to miss him if for no other reason that he and i are exactly musically compatible. like....just everything. from matmos to run-dmc to benny goodman to battles to lionel hampton to deer hoof. and the obvious stuff like the pixes and GBV.
although there are many more (and better) reasons to miss him. a lot.

the girl who chester offered my job to has terrible taste in music. she *hates* johnny cash and she *loves* that parrot guy....whose name escapes me...ugh.jimmy buffet that's it.

i don't know how 1) it's even possible to not just not like johnny cash, but to balls out hate him, let alone 2) like jimmy buffet. i find that music so nauseating.
the anti-cash is a scenic painter. she's ok. she likes to play the ditzy blonde card which is annoying. and i told chester if she calls me, i'm charging a dollar a phone call/question.
i figure a consultant fee is only fair. plus, she'll totally run up my cell phone bill.

here's the email eric sent out:
Come celebrate Beth’s departure from theatre* at Trusty’s on Friday Aug 24th! If you get there early enough, you may be able to convince her to stay. Come too late and she may convince you to leave theatre too. At any rate, you are sure to hear plenty about her past 9 seasons at Shakespeare, and the fabulous job she’s heading to. Head over after work 5:30-6:00.
