puppet poop

nothing like a new job to make you feel stupid.

i do enjoy the fact that today at 5:30, i tucked my chair under my desk, logged out and went out the door.
also to make you feel stupid: losing stuff. somehow, in under 100 feet, i lost the birthday card i bought for kc which kinda sucks, because it was kind of expensive for a card, but it was a cool size (7"record cover-ish) and was suitable for framing.

i seriously don't know how or where i lost it, because i had it, sat down on a bench on the side of malcolm x-park, wrote nothing special in it, put it in the envelope and put it in my bag, seriously, crossed the street, went up in the elevator and *poof* gone.

i retraced my steps not 5 minutes later so someone must have found the card and taken it.
maybe they'll frame it.
meh.
then on the walk back to the metro i got in a needlessly long discussion with someone asking me for advice for what i thought was a good movie that people who are going into their freshman year would have seen that would be a great example of production design. at first, i offered up the first 2 austin powers movies and then i realized the perfect movie- team america. that movie is so frickin' brilliant and gorgeous. she was non plussed, but i said "chris, have you seen the extras? it's worth it to buy it and watch that because you miss SO MUCH.
like the money trees and the croissant cobblestones. even if you can't deal with puppets pooping on each other, at least do it for the croissant coblestones".

i hope i never get to a point in my life where puppets and tootsie-roll scat play become unfunny.
because that shit it hilarious.

also? dc buses? youo kinda suck. a bus scheduled to arrive at a stop at 9:44 doesn't show up until 10:06? efffffff youuuuuuuuuuuuu.
