no sleep

i'm taking a break today from my loafer shoes that i bought under the guidance that "better shoes might have people take me seriously" for work.
true story.
but today i'm getting a big delivery of art and i would rather be comfortable than polished. plus, i don't have any site visits today, so f-it.
last thursday i got to go to the construction site of st. e's where there was once a mental hospital (and there still is...partially) but the city is also trying to consolidate a bunch of gov't workers up there. but they're building a new hospital with an opportunity for some public art which is really exciting and hopefully more what my job can be rather than scheduling art for annoying offices who want to redecorate.
the richard prince show was good. they had most of his nurse paintings which i wanted to see. there was an audio tour which i took, i mean, it was free, why not...it was a little spotty sometimes. there would be huge gaps between work which i thought was weird.
i think also, the next time i take the chinatown bus, it's better to err towards the wee hours of the morning or else you end up on the street of chinatown at 5:30 am silently pleading for anything to be open.
and then accept it when it's a macdonalds, albeit one that plays the replacements (ok, just one song, but seriously? random) (they also played the bee-gees, it's not like they had a great assortment of late 80's college rock)
colleen and i took many many great pictures of Kewpie doll's adventures in new york city.
mostly it was a fun weekend that involved very little sleep. i just couldn't make myself. i'll probably pay for it all this week.
