another girl, another planet

today we hung art in the office of someone who is never going to be satisfied.

to the point of, he looked at the name plates (which consist of a 3x4 square of plexi and an acetate label behind it with the title/artist/etc info printed on it.

the template on the computer adjusted it maybe an eighth of an inch to the left so he asked that i redo all of them.

it's only 5, but more importantly it means going back into his office.
ugh it's tiring.

the best part of my day was in the dog park on the way home a dog ran up to me and i got to play with it. the owner was amazed "you don't have any treats?" i said no, i don't even own a dog.

also good- the last time i was in baltimre i found a cheap, used cd copy of paul westerberg's '14 songs'. i'm not saying it's the greatest record in the world (especially when 1/3 of the record sounds like rehashed versions of 'talent show') but there is nothing in the world to snap me back to my sophomore year of college like that record.
i remember distictly walking across the oak grove with that tape in my walkman.
there's a book on the replacements coming out (oh, scratch that, apparently it's already out). it's an 'oral history' which i have to admit i love.
please kill me is done in that manner and i love it when peoples accounts conflict each other. there's also a copy of a spin mag in my house that i can't part with that's an oral history of the pixies.

i ordered a copy of 'rip it up & start again' which came today. i have to finish in cold blood and then rip it up. then i'll be ready for a 'mats book.

i don't know what that says about me.

i would probably pay good money to see the replacements should they re-yeooon.
