wilco last night was pretty amazing. i wish i could have seen the horn players- from where sean and i were i thought they just had kick-ass samples on their keyboards.
It was a much needed pick-me-up from an unbelievably shitty monday and tuesday filled with all manner of greedy, mean people.
one of whom, told me over the phone that i was getting "all attitudinal". To which i had to bite my tongue from saying "ok, first? you dumb cunt...that's not even a word".
i was asked over the weekend if i wanted to sit on the board of this big crazy art thing, and i asked someone who had been on the board (and recently left) about it and she recommended that i just work on a committee first to see how i liked it, which sounds like a good compromise i think. and that might be less conflict-y than being an actual board member.
i'm going to see wilco again tonight (this time with Rania!)
I'm a little worried because i'm fucking *beat* from last night and tomorrow is a big presentation for the commissioners.
