i'm worried i'm losing, or rather lowering, my standards on what i find funny.

Like the Mrs. Buttersworth geico commercial? It's pretty good.
Also sending me into fits of giggles:
The AcipHex commercial where I swear to christ, you'll hear "Ass Effects" about 90 times in a 45 second spot.

How did no one notice that one?

Also, if you want to make yourself feel really old, think about this: Kurt Cobain & Courtney Love's offspring is old enough to be 'the new face of Chanel.
