wine consumption begins now

my mom got me an amazing ipod touch for christmas and man, would I love to try that thing out...if only i could. for whatever reason it's showing up in iphoto, not itunes which i might blame on not being able to connect to the internet here. my dad is unhelpfully trying to give me tips which is just for some reason, making me enraged.
it's not helping matters that my two brothers are both spending christmas with their respective girlfriends and i have to spend it with the exact portions of my family that I either can't stand or find so boring they make me want to cry.
which....man, that makes me sound shitty...at least i have family, right? i guess. it's just one night out of the year. i hate making small talk. my grandma in her infinite weirdness keeps tellimg me how people on TV look just like me and i try to kindly tell her that they don't let people who look like me on television.

i think family will start arriving in an hour. i think wine consumption begins now.
