crackley paint tips.

Didn't see John on Cy. Turns out i had a friend that went. I'm green with envy. And 'cause i'm wearing a green shirt.
Tonight is the award night named after an official who will officially be there for less than 7 minutes.
I'm hoping to go as an audience member...and by that i mean, say i went. or attempted. But really, list stuff on etsy and get some more crap done around the house.
I sent off the meat samples. i hope they like them. and they like the foam. i like the foam version. i'll download those tonight too.
i really hope i get this stupid fake-meat job because i spent a small fortune making the samples.
I also used a paint for entirely the wrong purpose and it did something unexpected and wonderful. I used a sheer textured "stained glass paint" on acrylic and here's a painting tip-
You know that crackly finish that's in all the shabby-chic crap stores? you can get it by doing something waterbase (or something that needs tooth) over something oil-based (or super slick)
it was a complete accident that the crackling/crazing looks *just* like marbleing of the fat in meat, but it was so wholely awesome.
