yell-a-thon

Tonight there's an open house with an uptight, uppity neighborhood to review three proposals for public art. This neighborhood is...surprising. they're more NIMBY than capitol hill and georgetown combined. which is kinda saying something. Two proposals I like and I'm ok with either- i think one is better suited to the neighborhood than the other and the third is kind of a nightmare engineering-wise. I'm looking forward to being in a church basement being yelled at for two hours because of one particularly prickly neighborhood bar-owning prick who was yelling about how 'not enough artists knew about the call' and then sited two artists that i also know and I know they're fine artists and one has been extremely ill and in and out of hospice care so i doubt a postcard for public art even registered with her. People love to piss all over their territory.
Also, i bought steak this weekend thinking it was going to be awesome sunday but it ended up being cold and getting a ridiculous sinus headache which wiped me out and slept through meeting up with friends for dinner which made me cranky. I ended up cooking it last night in my oven. It just doesn't seem right- not grilling red meat.
