Yesterday was the 5 year anniversary of having a brick thrown through my window which means today is the 5th anniversary of Sean & Rania's wedding.
I celebrated my anniversary with being the witness to an iphone snatching on the metro. I got off the train when i realized what happened and went back and gave a description to the cop who was still taking info from the victim. I felt bad because my descriptions were like "three kids- one in a blue and white swirly shirt..blah blah" I gave the guy my card if he needed a witness and then probably stupidly pulled a nancy drew and went back to the u st. metro stop to see if they'd return to where they got on. I later saw the cop i gave my info to walking car to car- actually I'm glad to see them taking this somewhat seriously.
I just got an email from the guy whose phone was snatched- the kids infact did continue on the metro and tried the same thing at gallery place but there were already 10 cops there and got the kid based on the descriptions from me and the victim. it made me feel good- great actually now I know it made a difference. other people on the train just sat there and did nothing.
DC, i'm asking, no, i'm telling. step the fuck up, ok?
