another one bites the dust

I had dinner last night with my HC girls (different than the hXc girls of days past) and I'm pretty excited about the stuff we're doing. Plus, I am assured a spot at CB so I can begin making stuff full steam ahead.
The best part was yes, they agreed that i looked swollen because some coworkers (really lovely coworkers)keep assuring me i look fine when i infact, look like a monster.
Before i left work to meet the girls at the black squirrel, there was a *screaming* match between the exec-director and dep. director which apparently ended in the dep. director scooping up all the shit on her desk that the ED has tasked her with and threw it down on her desk and promptly quit. Both positions were mayoral appointees so i have no idea how this is all going to play out. I mean, the bottom line is the Exec. Dir is a nightmare and i don't know one person here who isn't looking for a new job.
I'm looking forward to a meeting where we have to discuss art for 3 hours as a good way to kick off the weekend. Seriously. For a job in public art i feel like we don't talk about it nearly enough.
