longview opening was a huge success

A new-ish gallery moved down the block and had a grand reopening last night and it was *grand*
I had dismissed the gallery previously when I walked by and it had landscapes in the window but they were well represented by at least 7 of the biggest up and coming artists...maybe another who defected to NYC two years ago- i couldn't get close enough to read the label to see if it was an ian w..
Couldn't get close enough because they had 800 RSVPs to the party and at least half were there when i was there, it was *packed*
The place is gorgeous and huge and they will rent it out for events which is smart.
also, the frigging coctails were amazing. i kept sipping on some whiskey and apple thing (maybe apple jack?) martini...so good.
afterwards D and i went to the weird sushi place down the block. They are horning in on the mango-salmon sushi roll but it's not nearly as good as Uni.
bunch of art events tomorrow and dinner with shawn. i hope he doesn't ask about the script- i haven't read it yet.
