bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- drinks and dancing with anthony hopkins i'm painting my nails at work, and typeing, because i thought i was going to be the most punk-pockingest and make a skirt for tonight's gala (read on) but now i'm thinkin' of just cheesing it, and going to the mall. but then i won't have the vindication of thinkin' 'yeah lady, you may have been able to fork out the 500 bucks for tonight's dinner, but who's the one with the skillZ, know what i'm say'n?' What is tonight's gala you ask? it's the WILL AWARD, where my...um...company?....group? whatever, it's like this: i work for the shakespeare theatre in washington dc. i am a props artisan. i can upholster chairs, weld tiaras, make fake dead geese...seriously...name it. but most importantly, i can certainly slam some silver satin together (check THAT alliteration mother fucker) where was i? oh, the will award is honoring anthony hopkins tonight and there's a 500-buck-a-plate din-din, and some dancing, and free alcohol. i was planning on making a silver ball-gown skirt and be done with it...well...and a white angora sweater, i think the topless look would be frowned upon....greatly....but now i'm thinkin'...i want someone else to make my clothes. i had someone else cut my hair last week and it was fan-fucking-tabulous i had forgotten how nicey-nice it is to have someone else wash your hair. plus, i think it's a nice haircut. so YAY me. i think this is going to be a pretty kick ass weekend. even if i didn't get to see INSTRUMENT last night at the kennedy center :( poop.
