bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- sugar SMACK (plus a tiny contest inwhich you don't really win anything, except my love and adoration) bzzzzzzgrrrrdt! I'm hopped up on Sixlets.tonight's opening night for Timon, which is nice. there are good after parties planned, which is nice. i'm not going to first read for the rhinoceros, which is bad. bad designer! but i met with randy and jenny last night and played with my toys and we talked about the script and there's a whole lotta new stuff now, and i just need to sit and re-read the script...because roles that were men, are now women....that kinda thing. uh huh. nice if the costume designer shows up at first read and tries to talk her way outta cross-sexual politics. speaking of which, the entire theatre has to do 3 hours of sexual harrassment and diversity training. hello! i work for a professional theatre! i dare someone to try to find a more sexually diverse crowd! although, i will have to admit, ethnically, we're pretty homoginized. i just totally spelled that wrong. c'est la vie actually, one of the things i like about where i work, is just how very un-ruly it is. i can wear messy clothes (not to, infact, is just plain dumb) listen to telegraph melts all day if i wanna, not answer my phone, research (which is one of my favorite things to do) period glassware. make stuff. the shop dynamic this year is a little weird. i don't really feel like we're so much friends anymore. there's a trip to the beach tomorrow, but if i get a day off, the last thing i wanna do is spend it with people i work with, so i'm not gonna go. although last year, i probably would have gone. which kinda makes me sad. but tonight there is free alcohol to be had. and i will be have'n it. a lot. luckily the after party is down the street, so i can just roll on home. sleep well my pretties xoxo beth b. pspspspspsps: some people have been questioning which movie i saw. ok kids, here's the deal- it's a contest! tell me what movie you think i saw, and i'll tell ya who's right! it ain't hard. look at your local listings. 22:15:29 - 2000-09-05 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
