bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- where's my keys? so, everything here is almost back to normal at work. we now have a computer with a monitor that's about <-------------this big--------------------------------> no lie. ok. a small lie, to match our small monitor. thanks to everyone who sent nice nice letters and sympathy and offers and stuff. that was really pretty cool. and restored my faith in people. i am, however, about to write an angry letter to the police. i keep calling to speak with the officer who took the report and he is either out or just never calls back. can we talk about how dumb i am for a second, or as we like to say here at the Prop shop, a 'Mornon'. I miss-placed my keys yesterday. i miss placed my keys in the biggest way possible yesterday that resulted in a 3-man 30 minute search, and ended with me seeing them on the hood of my car, when i had searched my car twice, and ultimately meant that jeffrey and sean and i missed seeing K2 at Arena stage last night. i was not about to leave my car here by itself overnight after last week, and jeffrey and sean being the niceiest nice nice boys *ever, they offered to look for them with me and stay with me until they were found. and then we were hungry and went to U street, but Polly's was crowded, Utopia too swanky, black cat, not quite open yet, setteled on Stetson's. i was ok with the slow service, until the jukebox played 'i've got friends in low places' or whatever. then i had had enough. i know, you're probably thinking 'well, it's called stetson's...what do you expect?' but the first time i went there, the juke box was good and played the clash and the lemonheads and stuff. not to be confused with the lejmonheads, as i originally wrote, which i guess could be their danish counterpart. xoxo beth b. 14:33:33 - 2001-01-25 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
