bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- et tu brutus??? so, my parents came down this past weekend and proudly showed pics of their new house and it's...well....pretty glorious. actually. yeah. It's on 4 acres (give or take .3) and it has a small creek and an even smaller pond (!!) and a spring house for crying out loud. It's a place i would have loved as a kid, so i'll probably dig it as an adult. oh, and the not-so-weird thing, is the previous owners left two framed posters in the basement. and they're from some shakespeare theatre. my dad was excited about that. you see, i work for a shakespeare theatre in washington dc. so...we kinda took it was a sign. ok? oh, and in honor of today being march 15th 'n all, i would like to recall a line from Julius Caesar 'et tu brutus?' thank you. also, i would like to brag about my wealth of thrift scores as of late: Sweet Valley High board game (.45 cents) Jem and the Holograms Rockin' Romance game (complete with casette tape! cassette tape! cassette tape! i can't stress that enough! cassette tape!) (.90 cents) weaving loom (.60 cents) spirograph (.60 cents) Sunken treasure (which is this totally trippy game made by 'the makers of operation' in which you extract gold, silver and bronze dubloons from a rotating sea floor using a magnetic diver-pokey thing (2 dollars and totally worth it) lea was supposed to come down and stay with me this weekend and we were going to have girls night and play board games (i also found the Bionic Woman game at an 'antique' store in Manassas Va. and i had to pay more for that, but it looks so good with my collection of games based on tv shows) but lea can't come. eh....just as well....tech week for two gents is coming up. foo xoxo beth b. 23:22:10 - 2001-03-15 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
