bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- where the life and love lines meet yesterday was a rough day to be my right hand. first, at work while i was making designs on leather bands to go around the back up stick for oedipus, i stabbed the top of the knuckle of my right ring finger with the tip of the x-acto blade i was using. about an eighth of an inch. and then later that night i was washing dishes and knocked into my favorite sugar dish and it split in two and sliced the palm of my right hand. if you were a fortune teller, it's on my life line. where the life and love lines meet i think. hey, there's another good song title, where the life and love lines meet. shows this weekend. there's something hapening saturday night that i would like to go to. something with calvin johnson and some local kids. they're calling it a 'paper opera' i don't know what that means. oh, you know what else i don't know the meaning of....'mug'. what does that mean? as in these kids were talking and one said ' i bet he was as happy as a mug'. shoot. i thought i was up on my ebonics. my friend anna and i almost exclusively speak to each other in ebonics. it's really really weird. she's this 6' tall blonde girl and i'm this 5'3 round brown haired girl and we're both white white white white whiteeeedddiittty white. but we do loves the black women and their processes. their nails and hair.... it makes me kinda envious. i'm pretty sure we're going to get our asses kicked all over town one of these days, but honestly, we're not doing it to be mean. it's just...i don't know....fascinating oh, but seriously, if you know what 'mug' means, please let us know 10:08 a.m. - 2001-08-24 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
