bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hammie loves ophie ok, i have most of my costume together. tried as i might to find a white choir / graduation robe, i'm afraid princess leia will be sporting seperates tonight, joined together by her belt....also, ther will be no bishops sleeves (those long baggy baggy baggy around the wrist sleeves that were VERY um.....fashionable late 70's-mid 80's. nope. i did fine a vaguely fururistic white cowlneck (oh hey, can we talk about this cowl neck trend? while i find it a pretty flattering neckline on most people, don't invest too much inot it this season, ok kids? really, maybe get a cheap cowl neck sweater sometwere, because i swear, next fall we'll all be over this thanks) i made my hair this afternoon, and it looks soooooooo.....well....good and funny all at the same time. On an even BETTer note, B. christine McD is in town today, this weekend, traveling about with the paul taylor dance ensemble (meaning in a week, lucky lass will be in madrid) AND ann maria M. is still in it, so now i have two friends in town so yay! chris and i went to eastern market this morn and had the bestest pancakes in the world * and bought stuff. she got amazing (but expensive) earrings i got lavender scented soap. i tried to find some props for hamlet, but no luck. also, if you see hamlet, you can chuckle to yurself knowing that all of the love letters that hamie sends ophie, are actually anne sexton and ee cummings poetry.....except for the ne letter that polonious intercepts. that's script text because the actor playing polonious can't act, but he can evidently read. i did the sexton/cummings poetry because, well....i had to write out a fuck load of it, sos it might as well be something i like. i would like it if nice boys sent me ee cummings poetry. 5:43 p.m. - 2001-10-27 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
