bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- nitrate hymnal How am i going to feel when nitrate hymnal closes? i actually had a really great time, once stuff calmed down. if it had hit 2-3 weeks later, it would have been even better since there would have been less shakespeare mess to deal with, but it's ok. i survived. but if you had told me when i was in grad school in ohio that some 6 or 7 years later that i would have members of circus lupus and monorchid helping me tape stuff to a floor for some experimental rock opera thing i'm doing, i would have told you to shut your pie hole. i still can't believe i got to work on that show. the entire time, i've been absolutely dumfounded by the braintrust working behind it. i have never felt so.... well, hayseed dumb, ever in my life. i am still in awe of everyone. there was a party last night at miss mary richards as a sort-of wrap party (we've added one more matinee today at 2) it's funny, because people like jason c. didn't realize what went into the set. that you can't just go to a 'theatre store' and pick up some things. although, actually, there are places like that, they're just crazy expensive. i'm tired. i'm happy. i've made new friends on this show. i've finally been able to combine my love of rock with the doings in theatre. i have a mad mad mad holy crap, this is bad crush on a boy, as does a new friend of mine, and i sorta feel she's better. i mean, she's smarter and nicer and faaaaar hotter than i am(which, incidentally, is not at all) (especially not now, because i got a hair cut yesterday and it's balls out, the shortest hair i've had since 4th grade. i feel totally hideous.) on tuesday- i have the day off!!! i'm sleeping in and going to the zoo to see them feed the monkeys. 11:21 a.m. - 2003-01-26 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
