bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- thou shalt not covet....not even a little bit? so...a couple of things have happened in this past month that sorta whipped out this huge karmaic highlighter just to hammer the point home how truly lonely i am, am getting, and apparently will continue to be until the day i die. not the least of which being meeting the swellest, most mo rocca glasses wearing, comic book reading, ted leo and deerhoof-listening painter to have ever crossed my path. in fact, it seems that our paths *have* crossed in this town, one of us just always seems to be a week or so behind. anyway, the problem is he is married. which, actually, seems to be the problem frequently and often in my life right now. but aside from the ring, there are no (not even casual) mentions of the wife. uh....ever. with the exception of looking at S&R's wedding pics over drinks at the warehouse last friday, where i pointed out my lovely flower arrangements; sean made some kinda reference to proofs and The Married said "yeah, when we got our proofs back, it was like.....we're done". which i think meant that they didn't have to order any since the proofs were so good. i dunno. i'm not so hot on the deciphering. but seriously...how bad is it to covet (but not act on) another woman's husband? i know it's a big no-no in the bible and stuff. but i'm not (consciously anyhow...the dream side of my brain has a different agenda)even going to pretend that this could happen. we'll probably be fine friends. but man, is he cute. i hope he has the coolest wife in the universe. 5:09 p.m. - 2004-06-06 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
