i'm too old to be falling off of chairs

i ache physically in so many areas.
but thanks to the goodness and graciousness and saint-like patience of miss collen, i am done with beauty and the beast.
i hope.
i shouldn't say that because i know come tuesday i'm going to get a call from someone asking me to come and re-fit the stupid tea cup head, but i am done.
i seriously couldn't have done it without her or D who both saved my ass last weekend.
actually, D continually saves my ass. she's pretty remarkable.
let me tell you, there is nothing like adding insult to injury (literally) like when you have to paint in the dark. and the fact that the facilites *suck* and by that i mean 1. there's no slop sink so someone is continually running the the (jr. high) girls room to fetch water 2. you're painting in a parkinglot alley which people will drive in and out of, oh and there's wind which will blow stuff over and will move your materials about such as when miss colleen beautifully covered two big (4 ft. diameter) foam plates.
3. the man who built the scenery is about 107 years old. and there's a 5' tall staircase on rolling smart (multidirectional) casters (that do NOT lock) which isn't attached to anything, but you push it up against one platform to climb on top and that platform is also on casters and it consists of two 4x8 platforms that aren't quite joined in the middle so there's a huge gap/lip that you'll trip over while the whole thing lurches forward.
then for the 2nd platform (also rolling) you need to stand on a wooden desk chair and crawl up onto that platform but you step funny on the chair and the chair tips and you fall leaving you with a delightful bruise across your left shin and a limp for the rest of the day.
when i got home yesterday around 9 i fed the cat and crawled into a ball on the sofa.
i miss the days when i use to go to rock shows.
i miss rock shows. i miss music in general.
i wish i could have seen the routineers play on wednesday (despite the other two bands. seriously. scout niblet? maybe they're the next big thing but i would have a hard time saying that my favorite band was 'scout niblet'. and i proudly own and still wear superchunk tshirts.
yes.
but i feel good that sucky projects are behind me. done with taxes. done with this gay ass beauty and the beast thing.
i'm hoping to see sarah vowell at politics and prose tomorrow. i just hope it's not filled with a bunch of ass-clown parents bringing their equally assclown kids with their incredibles dolls for sarah to sign or kiss or braid their hair or whatever.
today i'm going to go to the propshop and feed caboose, unload all the paint junk, go to christine's wake cause i didn't get there last night and then i think grill some swordfish.
maybe try to get some gardening in too, but i'm seriously in some pain,
