rewards for fire setters

i haven't really had much to say recently. lots of bad things- too many bad things have been happening to friends and friends of friends and when shit happens i feel so useless.
i am not one who is...how you say, ahhh yes, good with the words.
there are some aspects of my life in which i have been exceedingly, undeservingly fortunate and i will not name them because i also fear the jinx. but because of that i am never really armed or prepared with anything than an hug or a feeble apology for something i had no control over in the first place.
but i will keep hugging and keep apologizing and keep hoping that i can do something to help ease pain and burdens.
in other news, the police caught the serial arsonist and i am looking forward to sleeping tonight. i might even turn the porch light off.
while i was in baltimore today with chester looking for stoves, le mari called to say that there were police and helicopters around the prop shop and the police were looking for some guy in a red tshirt so don't pick up any hitchhikers on the way back, okay?
um....yeah. as if.
unrelated...the two events. aparently the red-shirted felon was a car thief who drove to the industrial area near the shop and bailed on the car so the police were chasing him.
i actually feel really bad for the mt. rainier police....and a little bad for PG county police...they get soemthing like 17,000 car thefts a year. seventeen.THOUSAND. insane.
the mt. rainier police are usually very nice. pg county police i don't think really give a crap about anything.
the arsonist worked at the KFC on the corner of bladensburg and new york ave. and when i drove home (i pass it at least twice a day) it was closed. i imagine news people were all up and down that thing interviewing coworkers and stuff.
the real fucked up thing (aside from the 45 or so fires that assclown set) is the fact that just up the street at the 7-11 there were wanted posters for him. there were posters for his arrest all up and down the very street (well, city-wide really, but i know at any of the businesses i've been into on bladensburg ave. 7-11, post office, gas stations) his picture (not a good likeness) was in all of them.
i wonder if he saw them. if it made him laugh. made him grow the beard he had when he was arrested. made him worried....
in anycase, when i stopped in my 7-11 this afternoon on my way home, the reward poster was down.
