tasty treats

fort reno stage rehab went well on sunday. weirdly well. some guy showed up and i swear to god amanda and i were calling him jesus.
plus, he went back to hishouse and got his pnumatic nail gun which made the laying of the plywood go *so*fast....well,. at least faster than sinking each screw with a drill.
josh and anil also showed up.
it's nice to know trustworthy folks.
i spent the majority of yesterday in pain so i sucked down some advil and then drove chester to frederick MD. to pick up some furniture for the show. and my couch.
i bought a really gorgeous 1930's club chair and sofa set for 120 bucks.
it's burgundy mohair so the next thing is to figure out how to keep sadie and her claws off and out of the sofa.
she's completely decimiated the old sofa in our living room and it looks terrible. i feel terrible because i think ryan's had it forever. it wouldn't be hard to upholster, but i need to finish the loveseat.
but seriously...this sofa is beautiful.
today is ryan's birthday and i made him some vegan rhubarb pie (including the crust) so he could take it to work and eat it with the dischord kids. i think i need to tweak the recipe a little bit. it's too sweet.
also, i think it's funny that DC hipsters are vegan and philly hipsters eat bacon and aren't ashamed.
bacon is tasty.
good for philly.
