the shelflife of magazines in 7-11's across PG county
this weekend i have a lot of work to do- including some i've been slacking on kinda big-big-time. but i think an earnest saturday will take care of most of it. at least, i'm a-hoping. wait. hopeing? no. hoping. it just looks too much like hopping. i'm hoping i'll be hopping tomorrow so i won't freak out about work that i'm taking on outside of shakespeare machine. also looming in the distance is another public art proposal thing whose deadline is the 7th. so this weekend, a bunch of hoping, hopping and cracking. and then i think a nice dindin with the girls on sunday. you know what's funny- my roommate is in this (err...last depending when you read this) month's thrasher. he didn't know he was in it. i was wondering why we had a thrasher in our house. i even flipped through it- a magazine i probably haven't touched since 8th grade, and really, the mag at this point is almost all ads. i didn't even notice the article about his former band. he's in 7-11's across the country. and should any 7-11's in PG county have an issue of thrasher sept. 2005, there's no telling how long he'll linger there. last may we went into a 7-11 in clinton, md and there was a spin with morrisey on the cover. it was some spin 'special issue of yet another list of the same 50 records we keep shuffling around' and the street date was a YEAR prior. ONE YEAR. 12 months. 52 weeks. no. lie.
