dumb whore
i am drenched with rain.
since fort reno is cancelled tonight i took my car into the shop on the way back from philly and dropped it off and decided to bus and metro home with my suitcase and laptop.
and it rained. hooray for weatherproof bags. boohiss for not taking one of the four (4!!!!) umbrellas in my trunk.
so now i'm soaked and carless and stinky so i think i'll take a bath. surprising things from this weekend:
*My parents admitted dissappointment of "weekend at bernies ll". because, you know, they thought the first one was so good.
*the shouting match i had in the car on the way back from the museum with the husband of my mother's best friend about george bush when i said i would not have shook his hand
(backstory: (and i am pretty sure i wrote about it here- bush, in an effort to break bread with the farmers of the united states decided to appear at broadmeadows farm which is the farm across the street from where i grew up. and in actuality, it's almost a pinpoint on how poor americas farmers are treated because the few that bless their hearts continue are having to farm, inevitably have to do those corn-mazes and light festivals to make ends meet, so anyway, yes, i have (had) a long history with broadmeadows farm. we use to talk there after dinner when i was little and it was still light out and stick our hands into the calf-pens and they would lick them. and then later when i was a teenager i would take riding lessons there and muck out the stalls for discounted riding time- but i digress)
so when wayne (the husband) seemed shocked that i would not shake bush's hand, but would clinton, he went back to the monica argument which is the same argument that my dad does and it's the dumbest argument almost ever so i actually yelled in front of my mom and dad and the best friend "What clinton did with that dumb whore affected NO ONE in this car. What bush is doing to the country is affecting EVERYONE in the country".
yep
i said 'dumb whore' in front of my mom. good times. she did laugh 'tho when i said "so the 27% that makes up bush's approval rating, they're all in this car i take it?" also- miss.
