aloha was great.
the bass player for rahim really needs to wear sturdier jeans when he's free-balling or perhaps make the aquaintance of underpinnings. i don't know. also great- seeing ch@d cl@rk. i miss seeing him around. when beauty pi11 practiced in the house when ryan was in the band chad would see me and say "hi honey, i'm home" and it always made me laugh. i recently contacted him about some band/CMJ stuff and he sent me the nicest email ever back which concluded in saying i was one of his favorite people which, i have to say, was really nice to hear even if it's just what people say.
there's a miranda july short on the wholphin/believer DVD thing that came out last summer where it's basically her stopping people and asking if you're someone's favorite person. and it's a really sweet short, except for when you stop and think and realize that, no....you're probably not anyones favorite and even 'tho i know it's mostly a lot of smoke being blown up your heiner...it's still nice to hear.
and then tonight he said he put me in the top of his favorite people on the myspace. and it's true. i checked it out...tv on the radio is also there which i'm not so sure about, but the kids like 'em so i guess that's ok.
and about this myspace? i know i've become obsessed. i know. but i'd be lying if i didn't admit that it makes me a little bit happy. the fact that rennie and audrey and drew (drew whom i've known since 1st grade) and loren (loren since probably 3rd) all found me and i found valerie m....it's pretty great. and it's nice when you have a lot of friends in bands and it's an easy way to keep track of their shows...and birthdays....and whatever. but yes, myspace, you're a-ok....mostly. i think. although my younger brother's profile is kinda disturbing. and there's apparently a 50 person minimum to his photos.
he's popular i guess. i wish i saw him more.
