4 show week
today i've alphabetized my cds l-z. i did away with the jazz section and filed them in with the others. i don't know if i like that yet.
i also watched 'in the company of men' which is compelling and depressing and sometimes kinda too true for comfort.
also watched 'P.S.' which wasn't as dumb as i thought it would be. i like laura linney. My friend B.CMcD does not, but i have no beef with her. i think she's fine. i think topher grace is pretty great. i think zach braff could take a note or 4.
i didn't realize i had 'harmacy' on cd too. i thought i had it only on vinyl (that record brings back very specific memories of my second year of grad school and the fall and my great living room of my apartment and dancing around by myself.
i seem to do a lot of dancing around by myself. i think it's one part reluctance to dance infront of other people with eyes, and one part no one to dance around with.)
it probably has more to do with the latter.
still, 'Ocean'? killer fucking song.
also, found my one remaining descendents CD and promptly imported "i'm the one". i know it's lame to only have 'everything sucks' left, but what can i say. i needed to not lend stuff away in college or should have dated boys who bought their own shit.
tonight is rockshow #4 for the week. sunday was aloha, monday was dinosaur jr. thursday was shellac and tonight is s0ccer team, the aquar1um and beauty pi11. three bands chock full of friends. i haven't pulled off a 4-show week in a long time. probably since before i started doing the whole f0rt ren0 thing... luckily only had to pay for two of those shows. there are so many things going on soon. wilco. m ward. radio birdman....and then a slew of stuff happening in baltimore. the hold steady aren't coming to dc. nor are islands. guess i'd better familiarize myself with howard ave.
