down with ists.

i really should wear gloves when i clean with cleaning products. my nails are just sad.
last night amanda and i went to a meeting regarding the re-hab of the fort reno baseball fields which at this moment doesn't look like it will impact the series any. the soccer field seems a bit close, but i dunno. i think the worst of it will be the traffic and parking.
we were, however, mildly accosted by Boomhauer's grandfather. who also maybe slightly resembled a jerry lewis character....more crazy-eyed mumble, less "HAAAY LAYYYY-DEEEEE".
something about sidewalks....mumble mumble sidewalks mumble mumble mumble small child mumble mumble mumble sidewalks. it was really hard to keep astraight face esp. as he got closer and closer and amanda was cracking up behind him.
then i tried to get through the traffic involving a stupid kevin costner movie premiere and opted for wisconsin ave. and landed smack in a protest that as far as i can tell was (and i'm not making this banner up) "down with terrorists".
well...yes. who wants that? who wants more terror...or more ists for that matter.
finally made it to woodley park and found jj and family in the baskin robbins. we walked back to their hotel and then jj and i had coffee and a fizzy water as jj jiggled calvin, the happiest, smiliest baby i've ever seen.
if i was guaranteed a baby like that, i might think about kids, but i think it's better (and the world thanks me) that i just think it best that babies and i don't mix.
i am trying to clean my house today and read the beaux script and deal with the weirdness that's happening with my car today.
i feel like we're going to get an inspection from the general tomorrow.
