first whine of the day
so, there's two minor things which are bothering me....
one is my scrooge-like attitude about holidays right now. like every year there's this restaurant downtown that does this "miracle on 7th st" thing every year which is very nice, and i called our PR guy the first week of Dec. to see when they want the throne they borrow for santa and stuff this year, neil says "i'll ask them" a few days go by, i call neil, he says he hasn't heard from them. i get called away for jury duty, i return, still no call, then chester hears from someone else that they thought that the whole thing happened in november this year, and someone else is running the show.
so, here it is, late tuesday afternoon (this was two days ago) and i'm thinking swell! i'll actually get what wanted to get done before i leave done, when neil calls. they want the throne. he's already told them no, i told him they can have it if they want to come get it.
we hang up, someone from the restaurant called me 2.43 seconds later. i say "hope you have a big truck".
and i feel shitty about this, becuase it's christmas and the holidays and look, i could be delivering a big fucking throne right now instead of whining about it over my keyboard.
but seriously, the theatre does not pay me enough to be a props delivery service and i have stuff i need to accomplish by 6 today.
they called over an hour ago to say they were on their way...they swore they'd be here by 5, so now they have 28 minutes. i really wanted to leave early today too.
i need to separate ryan's pans from my pots. and maybe order chinese food cause i sure don't feel like cooking.
and i still haven't received my check from signiture or from becky for the harry potter scarf.
i need to get better about settling up with people.
i'll whine about the other thing later.
