what was i saying?

yay for a sunday with nothing to do!
one week of fort reno down, thursday was rainy but pleasant. and the girls that kc and amanda call 'the mormon girls' came out.
in reality, they are two of the sweetest kids ever. i'm still not sure why they chose to befriend me last summer, but i'll take it. i wasn't sure if they'd remember me this summer, but they came up with their mom betsy and said hello all shy-like, but within half an hour, megan was grabbing my hand while we chased bridget and then caught fireflies.
the mormon thing comes from the fact that the mom does look young, but when you see her up close, she is at least 38-40 which is a totally fine age to have a 7 and 5 year old set of daughters.
if i was assured that i would have a fully awesome kid like bridget or megan or cannonball duncan, i probably would. if i ever met the right guy which i know will never happen so it's better to not think about it.
i have a nice older-couple friend who i think are trying to fix me up and i keep politely sidestepping. they're really nice people, i just think being fixed up is weird. plus, the chance that they actually know a guy who would like me is um...non-existant.
and while having a boyfriend might be nice, i can't imagine trying to fit in another human being into my schedule. yesterday alone i was all over the place. painting the buildings for the run for cover finale, then at run for cover (which was fun. although maybe a little long. although the chance to see patrick citygoats as gary glitter.....hahahahaha. i don't think he blinked his eyes once.)
also- revelation 88 was probably one of the greatest things i've ever seen. even better than OI!asis.
in more random news- i put a plea on the chicago craigslist (again, breaking my "never count on craigslist for anything) rule and actually heard from someone asking if anyone responded to my "damsel in distress" post. so it turns out i might actually get a friday ticket for face value! which is awesomely nice of him, considering my post was in the midst of people offering 2-3 times the face value. which is both bunk and illegal.
so maybe it's good karma? or maybe, as it's more likely, a hoax. i'm not going to totally count on this coming through. after all, it's craigslist. and dudes on that site are f-ing flaky. i could be a total tool and just sit outside the gates and knit. it's not like you can't see inside anyway. if it's set up the same as last year anyhow.
i'm going to finish reading the paper and watching some sopranos borrowed from KC.
it's funny how much my grandmom reminds me of tony's mom. at least the crazy aspects to her. not so much the controling of uncle junior. who i can't take seriously with those glasses.
